About Apricot

Apricot Banks (Maaja Wentz) reading at the microphone

Apricot Banks writes fun books for kids that adults like too. A teacher-librarian and ESL teacher, she loves sharing funny, adventurous, imaginative books. Her chapter books were written to inspire a love of reading in young children, and they are also suitable for English Language Learners.

Kids see themselves in Hubert's adventures as he tackles universal experiences: dealing with a bully, overcoming fear of the dark, getting lost, and patching up a friendship when things go wrong. The stories are light, but with heart.

Apricot Banks is the pen name of author Maaja Wentz.
